Do You Need to Have Experience or Special Training to be a PCA or Homemaker?
No experience is necessary to work as a PCA or Homemaker, however you must:
1 – Be 16 years old
2 – Pass a criminal background check
3 – Provide proof of your ability to work
4 – Complete the online training and test through MN DHS web site
5 – You can not be a spouse or a parent or paid legal guardian of a minor child receiving services
Once you have been cleared by the BGS and passed the test through DHS, a state Certificate will be sent to us and you will be notified that you are ready to start working.

What is the Hiring Process for the Position of a PCA or Homemaker with A+?
Call us at 952-854-7760, come into our office between the hours of 9 – 3 Monday – Friday, or you can fill out our Employment Inquiry Form.
Applicants for the position of PCA or Homemaker must:
1 – Complete our application
2 – Provide 2 favorable references
3 – Pass the MN Background Check
4 – Complete the DHS Training and pass the test
5 – Receive our agency orientation
6 – Provide proof of your ability to work and get set up on payroll
The process takes approximately 1 – 2 hours to complete. Once we receive an approved Background Check for all employees, you will be notified that you are ready to start working.
